Revised review:
It’s amazing to me that customers for these devices get so emotional about them. It’s an electronic toy, not a potential mate. Since iPods are expensive and their batteries are hard to replace once they die, these MP3s are, I suppose, a useful alternative. But let’s not get too excited here, folks; the sound quality of these little players is no more than adequate, the radio is useless for fringe areas, the construction quality is marginal, my PC didn’t always recognize it as a USB device (definitely a fault of the player), and the organization of music files is clumsy.
I returned mine once I was told by the extremely helpful Sandisk customer service woman that loading .wav files on it is impossible and that it won’t recognize Windows Media Player playlists. I give Sandisk a thumbs up for customer service, but thumbs down for marketing a device with such a narrow range of uses. For much of the popular stuff that is called music these days this device will, I admit, produce satisfactory sound quality. But that’s not an endorsement; for music enthusiasts who know what fidelity means, this player will undoubtedly disappoint.
This device is an example of making a product smaller just because you can, not because it makes it better.

I just wish I had not bought it. I made all the recordings first but when I wanted to litening to them on computer for easy navigation, for some reason, that just did not work. But then it was too late to return.
By the way, it seems you cannot delete items from the players directly. Must connect to computer to do so.
Worst MP3 player I have ever seen.

There are alot of things wrong with this MP3 player.
1. It takes a very long time to transfer songs into it. It takes about one minute per song.
2. When the transfering was finnaly complete it only had the songs under song title and it is suppose to have it listed by Artist, Album, and Genere. It basically works like a slow version of the ipod shuffle.
3. The directions suck
4. It says that you can have 20 preset radio stations but it does not even tell you how to preset them.
5. The stupid instalation cd got stuck into my computer luckily i got it out.
I got this because my other mp3 player which i bought cheaply broke after 6 months but i deciede just to stick to my portable cd player which i have had for 2 years it is big and all but atleast it does its job.

reading its features and manual was not difficult, however try uploading music to the sansa mp3 and then you would know about problems. it’s supposed to be compatible with windows millenium but guess what?; it’s not. i think adding a couple dollars more and purchasing something from apple would have been worth the while.
thnks.

Probaly the only great thing about this thing is that it fits in the shape of your grip, Otherwise it is bad. Negatives:the screen is hard to read, the ear phones are very uncomfortable, chep carriying case, takes too long to shut off, bad volume, some times when I’m going through the playlist and I stop on a song, and it starts in the middle of the song, bad radio connection. I’d rather have no mp3 player at all than have this!!!!!!!! If you buy this product BAD CHOICE!!!
